F-LINE

The alternative to acid pickling.

Looking for a perfect alternative for the chemical pickling of your stainless steel and non-ferrous materials after welding? With the F-line from our Rebel One unitized abrasives range, welding discoloration can be removed in 1 step!

Pickling has disadvantages

To begin with, the application of acids in pickling is a chemical process, which means that due to strict environmental regulations, you will probably have to call in an external partner.

Pickling, of course, also requires thorough rinsing to repair the surface layer, and all-in-all, it costs quite some time and money

The F-line range is an environmentally friendly, cost - effective and  saving alternative to traditional pickling methods. It quickly removes welding discolorations and prevents caking for a longer service life and lower total grinding cost. It can also safely remove lacquers and coatings without damaging the underlying metal.

Voc-free-icon
VOC free
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) stands for a group of substances including fuel and solvents. Upon vaporisation these substances cause global warming, acidification and are harmful to health. Solvent is commonly used in the production of unitised.

The entire Rebel One range, on the other hand, is 100% solvent-free, VOC free compliant and contains no polymers coming from bisphenol A.
Iron-free
Iron free
Iron free – stainless steel safe: no contamination.

Tips & Tricks

Speed

Follow the recommended speed on the product label.

  • Low speed = maximum efficiency and a better finish.
  • High speed = excessive heat generation & premature wear.

Angle

Change angle in function of your application.
  • Flat use = better finish.
  • Used on side = increased aggressive action.

Pressure

Always apply medium pressure.

  • Pressure too high = excessive heat generation & premature wear.
  • Pressure too low = little or no result.

"Zigzag" movement

Use the up and down motion (zig zag) to remove the weld discoloration.

Maximum efficiency

For optimum efficiency, the pores of the finishing wheels must be opened regularly.

This can be done effortlessly with our sanding file SV19030 in combination with the sanding sheet 706GR/24/V006.
